In this picture we show a case of thumb amputation. This makes a high incapability to the patient, both for work and daily life.

At our Unit, we perform a microsurgical reconstruction of the thumb using the toe as a donor site. We have a 92% of success to transfer the toe and reconstruct a opposing thumb. It becomes sensitive, and secuelae at the foot is minimal.
