This picture shows a 52 year-old patient who underwent necrosis of the dorsum of the foot after a trauma. This event occurs more commonly in patients with diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and smokers.
The patient was treated conservately elsewhere, but after weeks he decided to visit us. This patient needed a microvascular revascularisation of the foot, with adecuate debridement, and microsurgical reconstruction with flaps. The final result is shown here.
